The Celebration in the Garden Party Host Committee has re-convened to present the Second Annual Celebration in the Garden, A benefit for the Shrewsbury Schools.

This year, Hannah and Jim Kane will be hosting this Signature event, designed to help fill gaps in funding for the Shrewsbury Public School Community.  The event takes place at their home, in the gardens of the historic Pease Tavern, 32 Main Circle, (this historic 1751 home once hosted such dignitaries as General George Washington and Abigail Adams).  The fete will include delicious food from Struck Catering, a fine wine and beer sampling provided by Renaissance Wine and Spirits, live Irish music „Mulligan‚s Fancy‰, and both silent and live auctions. The evening will be a relaxing, fun-filled event and attendees will enjoy an evening in the company of friends and neighbors.  Please join them on Saturday, June 12th at 6:30 PM.  32 Main Circle, Shrewsbury, MA  01545.  Special guests include Congressman Jim McGovern, and State Representative Karyn Polito.  Tickets are $50.

Last year‚s event raised $9,000 which allowed for the purchase of leveled reading books; audio-visual interactive and LCD projection equipment; literacy programs; math and science curriculum resources; document camera equipment sets; Science Court interactive software and more.  Every child in the Shrewsbury Public Schools benefited from the success of this event.  This year the committee wants to be able to do so much more.
