The Transgender Emergency Fund continues fundraising efforts with Annual Winter Brunch.

The Transgender Emergency Fund provides critical financial assistance to low-income transgender people in Massachusetts. The fund has opened its doors to applications for assistance for 2010 this month and is hoping to raise money to support its cause. The fund is entirely run by volunteers with minimal overhead, ensuring that nearly every penny donated goes directly to people in need.

Cha Cha Connor, a TEF volunteer, has stated:  “We are in the midst of a recession and everyone is hurting right now, including the trans community. I hope that we can all dig deep and support this life-saving effort.”

The Winter Brunch will be held this Sunday, January 24th, at 86 Winter American Bistro, 65 Water Street, Worcester. Tickets will be $20.00 at the door which will include brunch and juice and coffee. The brunch will also feature a silent auction.
