Get politically charged with your art!
Congressman Jim McGovern is proud to announce his first poster contest for the Third Congressional District of Massachusetts. All local artists living in the district are encouraged to design and submit a poster promoting his reelection campaign and reminding voters to get out to the polls on November 2.
“I’ve always been a major supporter of local artists, and I wanted to incorporate them into my campaign in a creative, fun way. This contest will allow me to showcase some of the best artists in the 3rd Congressional District.”
Submissions must be submitted in high resolution full color digital format, 11”x17”, and are due August 6th to Art@JimMcGovern.com. Finalists will be selected by Congressman McGovern and campaign staff; and voting will be opened online to the public in August to choose the final winner, who will receive a $500 prize. The finished print will be unveiled in September, and the artist will be invited to join the campaign committee at local art festivals that month to promote and sign the winning work.
